Open-Door Policy for the Business Community Will Continue: CDA Deputy Commissioner

Public-Private Partnership Is Essential for Islamabad’s Development, Says Sardar Tahir Mahmood

Islamabad (Special Correspondent) – Deputy Commissioner and Senior Special Magistrate of the Capital Development Authority (CDA), Sardar Muhammad Asif, has reaffirmed his commitment to further strengthening close coordination and effective cooperation with the business community, stating that his office will always remain open to resolve the issues faced by traders and industrialists.

He expressed these views on Monday during his visit to the Islamabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ICCI), where he held detailed discussions with the Chamber’s leadership and members.

In his address, Sardar Muhammad Asif said that the business community is the true engine of the national economy, playing a significant role in the country’s development despite various challenges. He stated that transforming Islamabad into a modern, well-equipped, model, and developed capital requires all relevant institutions and stakeholders to work together.

He further said that the doors of his office are always open for resolving the issues faced by the business community and that strong collaboration between the civic administration and the private sector is the key to sustainable urban development.

On the occasion, President of the Islamabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Sardar Tahir Mahmood, said that the business community and the Capital Development Authority share a special relationship aimed at promoting the development of the federal capital, enhancing trade and investment, and transforming Islamabad into a regional business hub.

He said that the cordial and strong relationship between the ICCI and the CDA is of vital importance in making Islamabad a clean, green, beautiful, and business-friendly city. He expressed hope that cooperation between the two institutions would be further strengthened in the coming days, resulting in significant progress in the capital’s development and beautification.

Chairman of the ICCI Founder Group, Sheikh Tariq Sadiq, said that strong and constructive relations between government institutions and the business community are essential for economic stability, promotion of investment, and improvement in the quality of life of citizens. He appreciated the positive and proactive engagement of the CDA administration with the business community and expressed hope that such interactions would further enhance mutual trust and cooperation.

In his vote of thanks, ICCI Vice President Muhammad Irfan Chaudhry welcomed the visit of the CDA Deputy Commissioner and said that it would further strengthen institutional relations. He reaffirmed the ICCI’s commitment to continue close cooperation with the CDA in resolving civic and commercial issues and promoting a business-friendly environment.

On the occasion, Executive Members Mirza Muhammad Ali, Malik Abdul Aziz, Raja Naveed Satti, former Senior Vice Presidents Khalid Chaudhry and Chaudhry Mukhtar Ahmed also expressed their views and emphasized the need for greater and more effective cooperation between the business community and civic institutions for the continued development and prosperity of Islamabad.
