Jeddah (Khalid Nawaz Cheema): Office-bearers of the Pakistan Investor Forum Jeddah and prominent members of the Pakistani business community held their first formal meeting with the newly appointed Consul General of Pakistan in Jeddah, Syed Mustafa Rabbani. The meeting was conducted in a cordial, positive, and constructive atmosphere, focusing on strengthening economic relations between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia, expanding bilateral trade and investment, addressing the challenges faced by Pakistani investors, and exploring new business opportunities between the two brotherly nations.
The meeting was attended by Deputy Consul General Farina Arshad, Commercial Counsellor Saadia Khan, and Fahad Chaudhry, while the Pakistan Investor Forum delegation was led by its President, Chaudhry Shafqat Mehmood Dhool. Other members of the delegation included General Secretary Abdul Khaliq Lak, Ghulam Mustafa Gujjar, Fazal Memon, Fazal Munir, Umar Masood Puri, Sajjad Khan, Ali Khurshid Malik, Khalid Nawaz Cheema, and several other distinguished members of the Pakistani business community.
During the meeting, Pakistan Investor Forum President Chaudhry Shafqat Mehmood Dhool gave a comprehensive briefing on the Forum’s achievements, ongoing initiatives, and future strategy. He stated that the Pakistan Investor Forum has become a strong platform for the Pakistani business community in Saudi Arabia, working to resolve investors’ issues, identify new business opportunities, strengthen professional networks, and encourage investment in Pakistan through practical initiatives.
He also highlighted his recent visit to Sudan and referred to several successful business ventures, emphasizing that the Forum aims to explore investment and trade opportunities not only in Saudi Arabia but also in other international markets. He said these efforts would enable Pakistani entrepreneurs to play a more significant role in the global economy while opening new avenues for Pakistan’s economic growth.
Other members of the delegation also shared their views and recommendations, stressing the need to address the challenges faced by Pakistani investors in Saudi Arabia, strengthen coordination with government institutions, improve business facilitation, and undertake joint initiatives to promote investment and commercial activities.
Consul General Syed Mustafa Rabbani praised the services and contributions of the Pakistan Investor Forum, stating that the overseas Pakistani business community plays a vital role in strengthening economic and commercial relations between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia. He reaffirmed the commitment of the Consulate General of Pakistan in Jeddah to providing every possible support, guidance, and facilitation to Pakistani investors and business professionals to further enhance trade, investment, and economic cooperation between the two countries.
He further stated that the Consulate would maintain close coordination with Pakistani investors and business organizations and extend all possible assistance in resolving their legitimate concerns, enabling Pakistani entrepreneurs in Saudi Arabia to expand their business activities with greater confidence.
At the conclusion of the meeting, the office-bearers of the Pakistan Investor Forum expressed their sincere appreciation to Consul General Syed Mustafa Rabbani, Deputy Consul General Farina Arshad, Commercial Counsellor Saadia Khan, and the entire Consulate team for their valuable time, positive approach, warm hospitality, continued cooperation, and encouragement of the Pakistani business community.
The delegation expressed confidence that under the dynamic leadership of Consul General Syed Mustafa Rabbani, the strong partnership between the Consulate General of Pakistan in Jeddah and the Pakistan Investor Forum would continue to grow, leading to new achievements in trade, investment, and economic cooperation between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia. They also hoped that Pakistani investors and business professionals in Saudi Arabia would benefit from greater facilitation and enhanced business opportunities.
