The enforcement team of the Punjab Enforcement and Regulatory Authority (PERA) conducted an operation in Mianwali’s Main Bazaar and seized a large quantity of non-custom paid cigarettes being sold illegally at various shops.
During the operation, officials inspected several commercial outlets and confiscated cigarettes that were being offered for sale without proper customs clearance and legal documentation.
Speaking on the occasion, PERA Force In-Charge Jamshed Gulzar stated that the sale and purchase of non-custom paid cigarettes will not be tolerated under any circumstances. He emphasized that strict action will continue against those involved in the illegal trade of such products.
He appealed to the public to refrain from buying or selling illegal goods, warning that violators would face strict legal action in accordance with the law.
Jamshed Gulzar further stated that PERA’s enforcement operations will continue without discrimination to ensure compliance with regulations and to curb illegal commercial activities across the district.
