
Rawalpindi (Sanober Kayani): Regional Police Officer (RPO) Rawalpindi Region, Babar Sarfraz Alpa, held an open court (Khuli Kachehri) at Kallar Syedan Police Station, where citizens directly presented their complaints, concerns, and applications.
The open court was attended by the SP Saddar Division, SDPO Kahuta Circle, and other police officers. During the session, the RPO reviewed the complaints presented by citizens and directed the relevant officers to take action in accordance with the law and submit reports within the prescribed timeframe.
Speaking on the occasion, RPO Babar Sarfraz Alpa stated that ensuring the provision of justice to citizens at their doorstep is the top priority of Rawalpindi Region Police. He added that open courts serve as an effective platform for reducing the gap between the public and the police and for addressing citizens’ concerns promptly.
Later, a crime meeting was also held at Kallar Syedan Police Station, attended by the Additional DIG, SP Saddar Division, SDPO Kahuta Circle, and other senior officers. During the meeting, a detailed review was conducted of the crime situation, pending investigations, proclaimed offenders, court absconders, and operations against narcotics and illegal weapons.
The RPO directed officers to complete investigations of serious cases on merit and within the stipulated time, continue special campaigns for the arrest of proclaimed offenders, and strictly implement a zero-tolerance policy against anti-social and criminal elements.
He further emphasized that citizens visiting police stations must be treated with dignity, respect, and courtesy, adding that any form of inappropriate or unprofessional behavior would not be tolerated.
At the conclusion of his visit, RPO Babar Sarfraz Alpa inspected various sections of Kallar Syedan Police Station, including the building, lock-up, front desk, record room, and other departments. He issued instructions aimed at improving cleanliness, discipline, and the overall standard of service delivery.
