Sanaullah Ghaman Congratulates Pakistan on 79th Independence Day

A healthy Pakistan is the foundation of a prosperous Pakistan, said Secretary General of PANA, Sanaullah Ghaman. In a special report from Islamabad, Ghaman extended heartfelt congratulations and best wishes to the people of Pakistan on the occasion of the 79th Independence Day. He stated that Independence Day is not only a time to remember the sacrifices of our national heroes but also a moment to take care of the trust they have bestowed upon us—Pakistan—and to strengthen it. For this, it is essential for the nation to be healthy both mentally and physically. Ghaman emphasized that PANA has been continuously working since 1984 to improve public health and well-being through awareness and the promotion of healthy policies and lifestyles. He noted that the strength of any nation lies in the health of its people, and “a healthy nation can establish a strong country and economy, educate its children, protect its families, and play an effective role in the country’s development.” He urged citizens to make healthy living an essential part of their daily lives, adopt a balanced diet, reduce the intake of products high in sugar, salt, and unhealthy fats, avoid tobacco, incorporate physical activity into their routines, and make informed choices about their food. He stated, “On this Independence Day, we should pledge that just as we value our country’s freedom and future, we will also safeguard our health. A healthy Pakistan is the foundation of a prosperous Pakistan.” Ghaman prayed for the development, peace, prosperity, and good health of the people of Pakistan, expressing hope that the nation will continue to move forward with unity, responsibility, and a commitment to a healthy future.
