Second OSH Training Held in Tarbela, Workers Attend Safety and Health Lecture

The second OSH training in Tarbela, focusing on safety and health, was held at the Al-Baila Hotel in Tarbela Dam under the auspices of the Pakistan Federation of Building and Wood Workers (PFBWW) as part of the BWI, Lloyd’s, and PFBWW Trade Union Activity 2026. Dr. Huma, a PhD in OSH and master trainer who specially came from Lahore, delivered a lecture on safety and health to the workers of the Tarbela Fifth Extension Project (T5). She highlighted important issues regarding the implementation of safety protocols at the workplace, prevention of potential hazards, and ensuring the health and safety of workers. On this occasion, Muhammad Aslam Adil, General Secretary of the Pakistan Federation of Building and Wood Workers, also addressed the gathering, emphasizing the importance of workers’ welfare and a safe environment. He thanked the company’s safety in-charge Senior Engineer Adil Ali, HR Manager Hamid Khan, and all the workers for their cooperation in organizing the training. The event was attended by prominent labor leader Muhammad Rafiq, officials from the Public Labor Union, and workers from the Tarbela Fifth Extension Project. The speakers stated that strict adherence to safety protocols in industrial and construction projects is essential for protecting workers’ valuable lives and preventing accidents.
