Unity, National Solidarity, Rule of Law Essential for Protecting Freedom, Zahid Bakhtawari

Rawalpindi (News Reporter) Zahid Bakhtawari, Vice President of the Rawalpindi Cantonment Board, stated that August 14 is a historic and memorable day for Pakistan, reminding us of the great objectives of the Pakistan Movement, the leadership of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah, and the timeless sacrifices of our elders. Freedom is a great blessing from Allah, and valuing and protecting it is a shared responsibility for all of us.

In his important message on Independence Day, he emphasized that merely celebrating freedom is not enough to strengthen and stabilize Pakistan; we must take practical steps while understanding the demands of freedom. National unity, rule of law, respect for the constitution, institutional stability, political tolerance, economic independence, and the promotion of merit are urgent needs of the time. Zahid Bakhtawari stated that to strengthen the country’s freedom and sovereignty, it is essential to prioritize national interests over personal and group interests. Trust, mutual respect, and cooperation between the public and state institutions must be promoted while avoiding chaos, hatred, and prejudice, and fostering unity and solidarity. He added that a strong economy is the foundation of a strong Pakistan. Promoting business and industry, creating a conducive environment for investment, generating new job opportunities, improving the tax system, and providing facilities to traders and industrialists are essential for the country’s economic stability. The business community plays a vital role in Pakistan’s economy and is ready to enhance its contribution to the country’s development.

The Vice President of the Rawalpindi Cantonment Board remarked that by focusing on education, health, modern technology, youth training, and skill development, Pakistan can be included among developed nations. The youth are the country’s most valuable asset, and providing them with positive opportunities is a national responsibility. He also mentioned that cleanliness, civic discipline, environmental protection, adherence to traffic laws, and improving the surrounding environment are practical expressions of patriotism. If every citizen fulfills their responsibilities honestly, positive change can be brought to the country. Zahid Bakhtawari stated that today we should renew our commitment that we will not compromise on Pakistan’s freedom, sovereignty, and security, and through our hard work, integrity, and unity, we will make the country strong, prosperous, and developed. He congratulated the entire nation on Independence Day, stating that Pakistan is our identity and the future of our coming generations, so every citizen must play their part for its development, stability, and prosperity. Long live Pakistan!
