A major encounter took place between the Rawalpindi Police and armed dacoits in the Saddar Baroni area. Following a 15 call, three motorcycle-borne robbers opened fire on a police party. In the ensuing exchange of fire, all three dangerous robbers were killed.

In a separate operation, Naseerabad Police arrested a two-member gang involved in robberies and housebreaking. Stolen cash amounting to Rs. 36,500 and weapons were recovered. The suspects will be presented before the court with solid evidence.
