Swimming Summer Camp 2026 Inaugurated at Liaquat Bagh, Rawalpindi

Rawalpindi, June 10, 2026: The 45-day Swimming Summer Camp 2026 has been inaugurated at the Swimming Pool, Sports Complex Liaquat Bagh, Murree Road, Rawalpindi. The summer camp has been organized under the auspices of the District Sports Department Rawalpindi. The chief guest of the ceremony was Ms. Tahira Aurangzeb, Member of the National Assembly from the Pakistan Muslim League (N), who formally inaugurated the camp.

On this occasion, Abid Abbasi, Finance Secretary of the National Press Club Islamabad, was also present alongside Ms. Tahira Aurangzeb. In addition, Adnan Haider Bari, President of the Rawalpindi-Islamabad Working Association of Journalists (RIWAJ), and Ayaz Khan, Senior Vice President, also attended the event.

Also present on the occasion were Chaudhry Waheed Ahmed, Divisional Sports Officer; Shams Tauheed Abbasi, District Sports Officer; Muhammad Rehmatullah, Tehsil Sports Officer; Shafqat Niazi; Malik Muhammad Sajid Awan, President of the All Kashmir Forum; senior Pakistan Muslim League (N) leader Aleem Butt; and other distinguished guests.

The camp will continue from June 10 to July 25, 2026, during which boys and girls aged 4 to 18 years will receive swimming training under the supervision of expert coaches and trained lifeguards.

Speaking on the occasion, Ms. Tahira Aurangzeb emphasized the importance of promoting healthy and positive activities for the younger generation and expressed her best wishes for the successful conduct of the camp.
