Iranian Ambassador Reza Amiri Moghadam Meets Speaker of the National Assembly; Discusses Pakistan-Iran Relations and Regional Affairs
Islamabad (Special Correspondent): Speaker of the National Assembly, Sardar Ayaz Sadiq, met with the Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran to Pakistan, Reza Amiri Moghadam, at Parliament House. During the meeting, the two sides held detailed discussions on Pakistan-Iran relations, parliamentary cooperation, matters of mutual interest, the regional situation, and issues related to peace and stability.
During the meeting, the Speaker of the National Assembly congratulated the Iranian leadership and people on the peace agreement reached between Iran and the United States. He described the development as a positive and significant step toward promoting peace, stability, mutual trust, and constructive diplomacy in the region. He expressed hope that all parties would continue to prioritize dialogue and diplomatic engagement in resolving differences in the future.
Sardar Ayaz Sadiq stated that such initiatives not only help reduce regional tensions but also play an important role in promoting global peace, security, and economic stability.
On the occasion, Iranian Ambassador Reza Amiri Moghadam appreciated the efforts of Pakistan’s government, parliament, political leadership, diplomatic corps, and military leadership in supporting the ceasefire and peace agreement between Iran and the United States. He noted that Pakistan has consistently played a positive role in promoting peace and encouraging the peaceful resolution of disputes.
He further stated that the government and people of Iran highly value Pakistan’s cooperation, goodwill, and efforts aimed at establishing peace. The Iranian envoy also congratulated Pakistan’s political, parliamentary, diplomatic, and military leadership on their successful diplomatic efforts.
Later, Ambassador Reza Amiri Moghadam, accompanied by his delegation, attended a session of the National Assembly and appreciated the remarks and welcoming statements made in the House regarding the Iran–United States peace agreement.
