






Islamabad (Asif Malik) – The Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) carried out operations against drug smuggling in various cities across the country, arresting 11 suspects, including 5 women, and recovering 42.77 kilograms of narcotics worth more than Rs. 10.4 million.
According to the ANF spokesperson, during an operation at Allama Iqbal International Airport, 19.66 kilograms of Ice (crystal meth) concealed within clothing in the luggage of one male passenger and three women traveling to Saudi Arabia was recovered, and the suspects were arrested.
In another operation at the same airport, 11.502 kilograms of Ice concealed in clothing was recovered from the luggage of a man and a woman traveling to Saudi Arabia.
Near Shabqadar in the Charsadda area, 8.4 kilograms of hashish were recovered from a rickshaw, and the suspect was arrested.
In a further operation at Allama Iqbal International Airport, 108 capsules containing Ice, weighing 580 grams, were recovered from the stomach of a passenger traveling to Saudi Arabia, while 70 heroin-filled capsules weighing 227 grams were recovered from the stomach of a woman.
At Multan International Airport, 84 heroin-filled capsules weighing 558 grams were recovered from the stomach of a passenger traveling to Dubai, leading to the suspect’s arrest.
At the cargo shed of Jinnah International Airport in Karachi, 650 grams of Ice absorbed into a buckram sheet was recovered from a parcel being sent to Saudi Arabia.
In addition, 1.2 kilograms of hashish skillfully concealed inside a speaker was recovered at the cargo shed in Sialkot, and one suspect was arrested in connection with the case.
According to the ANF spokesperson, cases have been registered against all suspects under the Anti-Narcotics Act, 1997, and further investigations have been initiated.
