Rawalpindi (Syed Shahid Waheed Hashmi) – City Police Officer (CPO) Syed Khalid Mehmood Hamdani and Deputy Commissioner Hassan Waqar Cheema conducted a detailed visit to the route of the central 10th Muharram procession and Jamia Darul Uloom Taleem-ul-Quran. SP Rawal, DSP City, and other relevant officers also accompanied them during the visit.
During the visit, CPO Syed Khalid Mehmood Hamdani reviewed the security arrangements for the central procession, including entry and exit points, deployment of police personnel, and other security measures. He also issued necessary instructions to the concerned officers to ensure foolproof security during Muharram-ul-Haram.
Later, the CPO and Deputy Commissioner met with Mohtamim Maulana Ata-ul-Haq and Mufti Inamullah at Jamia Darul Uloom Taleem-ul-Quran. During the meeting, detailed discussions were held regarding the law and order situation, inter-sect harmony, and security arrangements during Muharram-ul-Haram.
On the occasion, CPO Syed Khalid Mehmood Hamdani appreciated the role of religious scholars and community leaders from all schools of thought in promoting peace, brotherhood, and religious tolerance during Muharram. He stated that Rawalpindi Police is utilizing all available resources to protect the lives and property of citizens and to maintain a peaceful environment.
The CPO and Deputy Commissioner also offered special prayers for the elevation of the ranks of the late former Mohtamim of Jamia Darul Uloom Taleem-ul-Quran, Maulana Ashraf Ali, and for the progress, prosperity, peace, and stability of the country and the nation.
CPO Syed Khalid Mehmood Hamdani said that comprehensive security arrangements are being made for Muharram-ul-Haram and that Rawalpindi Police is committed to ensuring law and order through the best possible strategy and effective security measures.
