Reaffirm Commitment to Peace, Development, Federal Cooperation and Public Welfare in Balochistan; Islamabad Memorandum of Understanding Termed a Key Step Toward Regional Stability

A delegation comprising parliamentary leaders of the Balochistan Assembly, members of the provincial assembly, and cabinet members of Balochistan met Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Ishaq Dar and Speaker National Assembly Sardar Ayaz Sadiq at Parliament House Islamabad.
During the meeting, detailed discussions were held on the overall law and order situation in Balochistan, ongoing development projects, public welfare initiatives, cooperation between the federation and Balochistan, and other matters of mutual interest.
On the occasion, Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar and Speaker National Assembly Ayaz Sadiq emphasized the importance of effective coordination, mutual cooperation, and a joint strategy between the federal government and Balochistan for the province’s development, peace, stability, public prosperity, and improved governance. They reiterated that the federal government would continue to extend all possible support for the sustainable development and welfare of the people of Balochistan.
The Balochistan delegation appreciated the efforts of the federal government for the province’s development and public welfare and expressed satisfaction over ongoing development projects. They also expressed hope that continued federal support would further strengthen the process of development, prosperity, and stability in Balochistan.
The delegation also lauded the diplomatic efforts of Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif, Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar, and Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, terming the successful signing of the Islamabad Memorandum of Understanding as an important milestone toward promoting peace, stability, and mutual cooperation in the region.
The meeting was attended by Governor Balochistan Sheikh Jafar Khan Mandokhail, Chief Minister Balochistan Mir Sarfraz Ahmed Bugti, Speaker Balochistan Assembly Captain (R) Abdul Khaliq Khan Achakzai, MNA Jamal Shah Kakar, Provincial Minister for Food Noor Muhammad Dummar, Minister for Education Raheela Hameed Khan Durrani, Minister for Revenue Mir Muhammad Asim Kurd Gello, Minister for Fisheries and Coastal Development Barkat Ali Rind, Minister for Culture, Tourism, Law and Parliamentary Affairs Nawabzada Muhammad Zarin Khan Magsi, Minister for Excise and Taxation Muhammad Khan Lehri, and MPAs Zarak Khan, Ashok Kumar, Dr. Rababa, Hadiya Nawaz, and Muhammad Khan Tor.
Participants shared their views on various public, parliamentary, and provincial matters and reaffirmed their commitment to the development of Balochistan, public welfare, promotion of democratic values, and effective legislation.
