Police Register Case Under Sections 292, 506, and 34; Victim’s Father Admits Giving Statement Under Pressure, Residents Demand Transparent Investigation

Rawalpindi/Gujar Khan (Sanober Kiani): A significant development has emerged in the case involving the alleged recording of an obscene video of a 13-year-old girl and subsequent blackmail in Sukho. Acting on the application submitted by the victim’s mother, Sukho Police Post arrested all four nominated suspects.

According to the police, the arrested suspects have been identified as Rana Jehangzeb alias Mithu, Muhammad Adeeb, Haseeb Javed, and Muneeb Qureshi. A case has been registered against them under Sections 292, 506, and 34 of the Pakistan Penal Code, and further investigation has been initiated.

According to sources, during the initial stage of the case, the victim’s father, Muhammad Ajmal, denied the incident and claimed that he was willing to take an oath on the Holy Quran. However, during an inquiry conducted at the office of the Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) Gujar Khan, he later admitted that he had been under severe pressure and stated that, at the time of taking the oath, an ordinary book had been placed before him instead of the Holy Quran.

Police stated that all aspects of the case are being examined impartially and that further legal action will be taken in light of the available evidence.

Meanwhile, local residents have demanded that any possible interference by influential individuals be prevented and that the case be taken to its logical conclusion strictly on merit. They also called for the arrested suspects to be handed over to the relevant investigation unit for further inquiry to ensure the effective prevention of such crimes. They stressed that the law should be applied equally to everyone and that the affected family should receive justice without discrimination.
