40 Electric Vehicles Allocated for New Unit, Large-Scale Transfers of Police Officers and Personnel

Islamabad (Izhar Khan Niazi): Islamabad Police has decided to abolish the Dolphin Force and replace it with a new Capital Patrol Unit. The newly established unit will be equipped with modern facilities to ensure effective patrolling and a faster police response across the federal capital.

According to sources, 40 electric vehicles have been allocated to the Capital Patrol Unit. These vehicles will soon be made operational to provide citizens with improved and environmentally friendly policing services.

With the establishment of the new unit, large-scale transfers have also been carried out within the Islamabad Police. A total of 32 Sub-Inspectors, 36 Assistant Sub-Inspectors (ASIs), and 32 Head Constables have been assigned to various responsibilities. Personnel previously serving in the Dolphin Force will also become part of the newly formed Capital Patrol Unit.

Sources stated that the objective of this initiative is to make the capital’s patrolling system more effective, organized, and aligned with modern policing requirements.
