567 Individuals, 202 Houses, 20 Shops, 223 Motorcycles, and 75 Vehicles Checked; Four Suspects and 58 Motorcycles Shifted to Police Stations for Verification
ISLAMABAD (Crime Reporter): Islamabad Police conducted grand search and combing operations in various areas of the federal capital. During the operations, 567 individuals, 202 houses, 20 shops, 223 motorcycles, and 75 vehicles were checked. Four suspicious individuals and 58 motorcycles were also shifted to different police stations for verification.
According to details, on the special directions of Inspector General of Police Islamabad Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi, Islamabad Police has continued a series of grand combing and search operations in various areas of the federal capital to prevent crime and curb criminal elements.
In this regard, grand search and combing operations were conducted in various areas under the supervision of zonal SPs. During the operations, 567 individuals, 202 houses, 20 shops, 223 motorcycles, and 75 vehicles were checked, while four suspicious individuals and 58 motorcycles were shifted to various police stations for further verification.
Furthermore, suspects involved in the illegal possession of weapons were arrested, and two pistols of different bores along with ammunition were recovered from them.
SSP Operations Islamabad Qazi Ali Raza said that the purpose of the search operations was to tighten the noose around criminal elements and improve security across the city. He said that search operations were being conducted in various areas throughout the district.
Islamabad Police continues indiscriminate action against criminal elements, land-grabbing mafias, and drug dealers.
Citizens are requested to immediately report any suspicious activity to the relevant police station or the emergency helpline “Pukar” at 15.
