DAUDKHEL (Zia Niazi): A meeting to review arrangements for Independence Day celebrations was held in the Committee Room of the Deputy Commissioner’s Office under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner Shahid Abbas Kathia.

Assistant Commissioner Mianwali Salman Qayyum Sheikh, Assistant Commissioner Piplan Chaudhry Zafar Iqbal, Assistant Commissioner Isa Khel Khalil Ahmed, Chief Officer Municipal Committee Mubashir Kaleem Gul, Deputy Director Local Government Habibullah Khan, CEO Education Nazir Ahmed Chhina, SDO Pir Malik Jamshed Gulzar, District Sports Officer Mumtaz Khan, XEN Buildings Azam Ghafoor, XEN Highways Liaquat Ali, Tehsil Manager Suthra Punjab Ikram-ul-Haq Sial, and officers of other relevant departments attended the meeting.

Addressing the meeting, Deputy Commissioner Shahid Abbas Kathia said that Independence Day celebrations would be held in a befitting manner with national enthusiasm and spirit.

He directed the Administrator Municipal Corporation, Assistant Commissioners, CEOs of Municipal Committees, and officers of other relevant departments to ensure that government buildings were illuminated and decorated with national flags and buntings.

He directed the Chief Municipal Officer to complete all arrangements for the central ceremony on August 14 in a timely manner, while the District Sports Officer was instructed to organize various sports competitions.

The Deputy Commissioner further directed that a meeting be held with representatives of the traders’ association to decorate markets and shops with green and white flags and decorative lights.
