Islamabad (Crime Reporter): Islamabad Police continues an effective crackdown against crime and criminal elements. A total of 34 criminal suspects, including court absconders and proclaimed offenders involved in serious crimes, were arrested. Drugs and weapons along with ammunition were recovered from the possession of the arrested suspects. Cases have been registered against the arrested individuals, and further investigation is underway.
According to details, on the special directives of Inspector General of Police Islamabad Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi, Islamabad Police is continuing an effective crackdown across the federal capital to prevent crime and arrest criminal elements in order to ensure the protection of citizens’ lives and property.
In this regard, police teams from Karachi Company, Khanna, Bhara Kahu, Shahzad Town, Koral, Nilore, Sabzi Mandi, Phulgran, Sumbal, Margalla, Sangjani, Secretariat and Lohi Bher police stations arrested 21 suspects involved in drug dealing and possession of illegal weapons.
A total of 665 grams of ice, 330 grams of heroin, 20 bottles of liquor, 13 pistols of different calibers along with ammunition and three daggers were recovered from the possession of the arrested suspects.
Cases have been registered against the arrested suspects and further investigation is underway.
Meanwhile, during a special campaign launched to arrest proclaimed offenders, previous record holders and court absconders, 13 criminals were arrested.
