Rawalpindi (News Reporter) An event was organized at the Rawalpindi Development Authority (RDA) on the occasion of National Minorities Day, under the directives of Commissioner Rawalpindi Division and Director General RDA Salman Ghani, and the supervision of Director Administration RDA Nosheen Israr. The event took place in the RDA conference room and was chaired by Deputy Director Public Relations Hafiz Muhammad Irfan. He highlighted the significance of National Minorities Day, stating that Pakistan’s minority communities play a crucial role in the country’s development, prosperity, and national unity. He emphasized the promotion of religious harmony, tolerance, mutual respect, equal rights, and peaceful coexistence. During the event, participants expressed solidarity with the minority community and reaffirmed their commitment to promoting national unity, interfaith harmony, tolerance, and the principles of equal rights. Following the event, a solidarity walk was organized from the RDA office to Murree Road, Rawalpindi. The walk aimed to spread the message of solidarity with the minority community, as well as unity, peace, tolerance, mutual respect, and brotherhood. It was expressed on this occasion that effective measures will continue to be taken to promote a comprehensive, peaceful, and harmonious society, and to protect the fundamental rights, equality, and dignity of all citizens. Participants also praised the role of minority communities in the construction and development of Pakistan and stressed that respect for diversity, equal opportunities, and the promotion of equal rights for all citizens are essential for building a strong, peaceful, and prosperous nation.
