Heavy Flooding Disrupts Kalabagh Due to Rainwater Channels

Dawoodkhel (Zia Niazi) – In the nearby area of Kalabagh, rainwater channels overflowed, causing severe flooding in the Nala Nihal Shah coming from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. This flooding has cut off the ground route to Kalabagh city and the bus station, halting traffic. Due to the intense flooding in the rainwater channel leading to the bus station, water has entered homes in the Karimabad neighborhood, and residential quarters of the Kalabagh police station have also been affected, raising concerns about damage to household items. The lack of cleaning of the rainwater channels before the monsoon season has contributed to the flooding. Additionally, people have built settlements and shops along the route of Nala Nihal Shah, which is causing further damage in Kalabagh city. If the rain continues, more damage is anticipated.
