Islamabad (Asif Malik) The Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) has arrested 11 suspects, including two women, during a crackdown on drug smuggling across various cities in the country, conducting eight operations that resulted in the seizure of 84.975 kilograms of drugs valued at over 12.7 million rupees.

According to an ANF spokesperson, 2.900 kilograms of ice was recovered from a parcel destined for New Zealand during a search at a courier office in Karachi.

At Islamabad Airport, 10 capsules filled with cocaine, weighing a total of 200 grams, were found in the stomachs of a male and female passenger heading to Jeddah.

During an operation near the Sangjani Toll Plaza, 60 kilograms of opium were seized from a vehicle, leading to the arrest of two suspects. In another operation near the Islamabad Toll Plaza, 10.8 kilograms of hashish were recovered from a vehicle, resulting in the arrest of one suspect.

The ANF also apprehended a motorcyclist near the GT Road Peshawar, seizing 4.8 kilograms of hashish from his possession.

In another operation near the Sangjani Toll Plaza, 3.6 kilograms of hashish were recovered from a vehicle, leading to the arrest of two suspects.

Near the Ravi Toll Plaza in Lahore, two suspects on a motorcycle, including one woman, were found in possession of 120 ice-filled capsules weighing a total of 1.14 kilograms, along with 127 heroin-filled capsules weighing 635 grams.

During a search at a courier office on Spiny Road in Quetta, 900 grams of ice hidden in a plastic car were also recovered.

According to the ANF spokesperson, cases have been registered against all arrested suspects under the Anti-Narcotics Act of 1997, and further investigations have commenced.
