Crackdown on Vapes and Flavored Cigarettes in Murree, Large Quantity of Prohibited Items Seized

Murree (Raja Usman Ali) – Following the directives of the Chief Minister of Punjab and the Director General of Punjab CNF, the Narcotics Control Station Murree has launched an awareness campaign and crackdown to protect the youth from the increasing trend of drugs, vapes, and flavored cigarettes. The team from the Narcotics Control Station Murree visited various educational institutions, where school principals expressed concern over the rising use of vapes and flavored cigarettes among students. They stated that these items are easily available in stores, which are harmful to the health of the youth. In this regard, the Director of the Narcotics Control Station Murree conducted surprise inspections of various shops located on Mall Road and Cart Road. During the checks, a large quantity of vapes, flavors, and prohibited cigarettes were seized, and the involved shopkeepers were issued strict warnings. Meanwhile, the Deputy Commissioner of Murree took immediate notice of the matter and instructed PEERA officials to take action against shopkeepers selling prohibited items and seal their shops. According to a spokesperson for the Narcotics Control Station Murree, the awareness campaign and crackdown will continue to protect the youth from the scourge of drugs.
