A religious ceremony of the Hindu community was held at the Maharishi Guru Valmiki Temple located in Gracy Line, Chaklala, Rawalpindi. Member of the National Assembly Asfand Yar Bhandara and Punjab Minister for Minority Affairs Ramesh Singh Arora attended the event.
The temple committee administration, while promoting interfaith harmony, also invited prominent members of the Muslim, Sikh, and Christian communities from across the city to participate in the program. Among the attendees were Pakistan Muslim League (N) Minority Wing Divisional President Kamran Bhatti, District President Bashir Khokhar, District General Secretary Farooq Nazir, Cantt President Waisal Gill, Punjab Minority Advisory Council Member Priyanka Kaushal, along with respected members of the Hindu community residing in Rawalpindi City, Rural, and Cantt areas, as well as representatives of various Hindu community groups.
Addressing the participants, MNA Asfand Yar Bhandara announced measures to address community issues and tackle the growing problem of unemployment among youth. On the occasion, Punjab Minister Ramesh Singh Arora stated that development work at the temple would be completed as soon as possible and that the water supply issue would also be resolved shortly.
He further said that work is underway on projects aimed at the development and restoration of more than 50 gurdwaras, temples, and churches across Punjab. Ensuring the security of places of worship and their visitors remains the government’s top priority.
During the ceremony, members of various Valmiki community groups presented bhajans and shlokas. Community members offered Guru Dakshina and other religious offerings to Guru Valmiki and participated with great devotion and respect in the worship rituals.
At the conclusion of the event, commemorative shields were presented by the administration of Valmiki Temple Gracy Line, Chaklala, Rawalpindi, to MNA Asfand Yar Bhandara, Punjab Minister Ramesh Singh Arora, Punjab Advisory Council Member Priyanka Kaushal, social media activist Jeeva, Media Coordinator Nadeem Sunil Raj, and other distinguished guests.
The temple administration expressed heartfelt gratitude to all Hindu, Muslim, Sikh, and Christian participants for attending the ceremony.
