ANF Crackdown Across Pakistan: Over 102 Kilograms of Drugs Recovered, 12 Suspects Including Two Women Arrested

The Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) conducted nine successful operations against drug trafficking in different cities across the country, arresting 12 suspects, including two women, and recovering 102.848 kilograms of narcotics worth more than Rs. 11.1 million.

According to an ANF spokesperson, a search of a parcel destined for Australia at a courier office located at Jinnah International Airport led to the recovery of 12.3 kilograms of Ice (crystal meth) concealed in 10 jackets.

At Lahore Airport, authorities recovered 70 capsules containing 509 grams of Ice and 13 capsules containing 111 grams of heroin from the stomach of a passenger traveling to Qatar.

In another operation at Jinnah International Airport, one kilogram of hashish hidden inside a crate of mangoes in the luggage of a passenger bound for Qatar was recovered.

Near Gondlanwala Road, Gujranwala, ANF recovered 60 kilograms of hashish during operations involving a motorcyclist and a raid on a house. Three suspects, including a woman, were arrested.

Near Chungi No. 26, Islamabad, 4.250 kilograms of Ice were recovered from a van, and two suspects were taken into custody.

Near Shaheen Town, Rawalpindi, ANF recovered 14.4 kilograms of hashish from a rickshaw and arrested two suspects.

Near the Sangjani Toll Plaza, Islamabad, six kilograms of hashish were recovered from a vehicle, and one suspect was arrested.

At Fateh Chowk, Hyderabad, 2.4 kilograms of hashish were recovered from a motorcyclist.

Meanwhile, near a bus terminal in Jhelum district, authorities recovered 1.8 kilograms of hashish and 78 grams of Ice from the possession of a woman.

According to the ANF spokesperson, cases have been registered against all suspects under the Anti-Narcotics Act, 1997, and further investigations have been initiated. Operations are also continuing to apprehend other individuals linked to the narcotics network.
