Islamabad (Report: Izhar Khan Niazi) – The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) Immigration at Islamabad International Airport successfully foiled an attempt to travel abroad using a fake immigration stamp and offloaded a passenger traveling for Umrah.
According to an FIA spokesperson, during routine immigration clearance, the suspicious passenger was referred for secondary profiling. During document verification, a fake Spanish immigration stamp was found on his passport.
Further verification revealed that there was no prior record of the passenger’s travel to Europe in immigration databases, confirming that the immigration stamp on the passport was forged.
The FIA immediately offloaded and detained the passenger and later handed him over to the FIA Anti-Human Trafficking Circle (AHTC) Islamabad for further legal action, where further investigation is currently underway.
