Murder Disguised as Electrocution and Victim Buried Quickly; Suspects Exposed Through Safe City Cameras and Modern Technology

Islamabad Police have successfully traced and solved a blind murder case involving a woman in the jurisdiction of Bani Gala Police Station, arresting three suspects, including the victim’s biological father, former husband, and father-in-law.
According to a police spokesperson, the suspects murdered a woman identified as Bushra on May 20, 2026. After committing the crime, they attempted to conceal the murder by portraying it as a death caused by electric shock and hastily arranged the victim’s burial in an effort to destroy evidence.
Demonstrating professional investigative skills, Bani Gala Police utilized Safe City surveillance cameras, human intelligence, and modern investigative technology to trace the blind murder case. Based on evidence gathered during the investigation, the police arrested Zahir Shah (the victim’s father), Asad Khan (former husband), and Pir Muhammad (father-in-law).
DIG Islamabad Muhammad Jawad Tariq praised the police teams for successfully solving the blind murder case and arresting the suspects. He commended their performance and encouraged them to continue their efforts in combating serious crime.
He stated that Islamabad Police remains committed to protecting the lives and property of citizens and continues to take indiscriminate action against individuals involved in serious criminal activities.
The DIG further said that the investigation is being pursued on the basis of strong evidence and that all legal requirements will be fulfilled to ensure that the arrested suspects receive appropriate punishment under the law.
