Central Procession of 13th Muharram Concludes Peacefully in Taxila

Strict Security Arrangements by Rawalpindi Police; Over 1,200 Officers and Personnel Deployed, Senior Officers Supervise in the Field

Rawalpindi (Shah Rukh Khan / Tehsil Reporter) – The central procession of 13th Muharram in Taxila concluded peacefully at Imambargah Karbala Fateh Haider Shah after passing through its traditional routes.

On the occasion, Rawalpindi Police implemented foolproof security and traffic arrangements, while senior officers including SSP Investigation, Chief Traffic Officer, SP Potohar, and others remained in the field to continuously monitor and supervise the security arrangements.

According to a spokesperson for Rawalpindi Police, more than 1,200 police officers and personnel were deployed to ensure security and smooth traffic flow during the procession. All participants entering the procession were allowed access only after thorough body searches, while streets, roads, and surrounding routes connected to the procession path were sealed as part of security measures.

The spokesperson further stated that the procession and religious gatherings were continuously monitored in real time through the district control room and other control rooms to ensure timely response to any emergency situation. Rawalpindi Police ensured all necessary and effective security measures to maintain law and order and protect the lives and property of citizens during Muharram-ul-Haram.
