Dawoodkhel (from Zia Niazi): A ceremony was held at Government College for Women Mianwali for the distribution of shields and certificates among the best teachers and district focal persons from across the district.
The Director of Education Colleges, Sargodha Division, Dr. Naheed Naz, personally travelled from Sargodha to grace the ceremony. She was accompanied by Tahseen Raza Shirazi, Deputy Director Colleges Mianwali.
Principals and vice principals of various colleges, along with college staff members, were also invited to the event.
During her address, Director Colleges Dr. Naheed Naz praised the Principal of the college, Madam Ruqia Khatoon Niazi, for her tireless efforts. She said that it was a matter of great honour that, out of 1,800 colleges across the province, Government Graduate College for Women Mianwali had been included among the top 90 colleges of Punjab on the basis of its performance. She added that Sargodha Division has a total of 93 colleges, among which the college has secured the sixth position, which is a matter of great satisfaction.
She further said that the students of Mianwali were fortunate that three out of the four best teachers selected from Mianwali District belonged to this college.

The Director also inspected the Admission Desk and Dengue Desk and expressed satisfaction with the arrangements.
Appreciating the college’s pleasant environment and plantation, she directed all the principals present to prepare for the monsoon season. She instructed them to launch plantation campaigns and climate-resilient activities with the onset of rains and to involve students in these activities so that the plants planted could grow rapidly.
