Rawalpindi (Staff Reporter): On the directives of Commissioner Rawalpindi Division and Director General Rawalpindi Development Authority (RDA) Salman Ghani, and under the supervision of Director Administration RDA Nosheen Israr, a ceremony was held at the RDA to mark National Minorities Day and express solidarity with minority communities.
The ceremony was held in the RDA Conference Room and was chaired by Deputy Director Public Relations Hafiz Muhammad Irfan.
Speaking on the occasion, he highlighted the significance of National Minorities Day and said that all minority communities living in Pakistan are playing an important role in the country’s development and prosperity.
He emphasized the promotion of religious harmony, tolerance, mutual respect, equal rights, and peaceful coexistence.
During the ceremony, participants expressed solidarity with minority communities and reaffirmed their commitment to promoting national unity, interfaith harmony, tolerance, and the principles of equal rights.
Following the ceremony, a solidarity walk was also organized from the RDA office to Murree Road, Rawalpindi. The walk conveyed a message of solidarity with minority communities as well as unity, peace, tolerance, and mutual respect.
On the occasion, the participants expressed their resolve to continue taking effective measures for promoting an inclusive, peaceful, and harmonious society and for protecting the fundamental rights, equality, and dignity of all citizens.
