Chairman of the Central Organization of Traders Pakistan, Khawaja Suleman Siddiqui, has said that economic stability is not possible without providing relief to the business community, as the recent budget’s policy of imposing multiple taxes has particularly placed the middle-class segment under severe financial pressure. He stated that the Central Organization of Traders Pakistan will continue its struggle for the rights of traders and expressed gratitude to those who have affiliated themselves with the organization. He pledged to utilize all available resources and capabilities to uphold the trust placed in the leadership.

Newly elected President of Anjuman-e-Tajran Bahawalpur Road Shahin Group, Chaudhry Aftab Jatt, and General Secretary Sheikh Suhail said that Khawaja Suleman Siddiqui is the true representative of more than 80 percent of the country’s trader community. They expressed complete confidence in the leadership of the Central Organization of Traders and reaffirmed their support.

These views were expressed during the oath-taking ceremony of the unopposed newly elected office-bearers of Anjuman-e-Tajran Bahawalpur Road Multan (from Link B.C. Chowk to Commerce College), Shahin Group.

On this occasion, the newly elected office-bearers were honored with flower garlands and sweets were distributed among the participants.

Khawaja Suleman Siddiqui further stated that if the government ensures the resolution of traders’ issues through consultation with representatives of trader organizations, the national economy can be strengthened significantly and the country can move toward genuine progress and prosperity. However, he emphasized that the government must avoid relying on the misleading assurances of sycophants; otherwise, instead of becoming stronger, the national economy will continue to weaken further.
