President of Dawood Khel Traders Association Meets with Officials

Dawood Khel (Zia Niazi) – The President of the Dawood Khel Traders Association, Amir Nawaz Khan, along with a delegation of traders and journalists from the Dawood Khel Press Club, met with Assistant Commissioner Mianwali Faisal Imran and Chief Health Officer Mianwali Dr. Mian Kashif. They provided detailed information about the issues facing Dawood Khel, including the deteriorating condition of the Dawood Khel Rural Health Center, as well as concerns regarding the city’s sewage, water supply, and street lighting. During the meeting with Assistant Commissioner Faisal Imran, Amir Nawaz, Advocate Saifullah, and journalist Zia Niazi informed him that the water supply has been shut down for several years, leaving residents desperate for drinking water in a city with a population of 100,000, which has now become a problem area. People are forced to fill drinking water from taps along the Thal Canal, while darkness prevails on major roads such as Sher Shah Suri Road, Railway Road, Billa Mosque Road, and Girls College Road due to a lack of street lighting. The sewage system is dysfunctional, and despite millions of rupees being spent, the streets resemble lakes. Stagnant water in front of Masjid Quba on Mohalla Small Khel Lari Adda Road has become a torment for the public. Even after spending millions on the sewage line on the road leading to Masjid Quba, the road is still flooded with dirty water. The Assistant Commissioner stated that DC Shahid Abbas Khatia is also taking an interest in the issues of Dawood Khel and is working to resolve them soon. Chief Health Officer Dr. Mian Kashif mentioned that orders for four doctors have been issued for the Rural Health Center in Dawood Khel, with two doctors having already joined. He also noted that an order for a lady doctor has been made, and dispensers will be provided, along with the restoration of X-ray and ultrasound machines. Medicines will also be made available to patients. He expressed happiness that there are people who care about the welfare of the residents of Dawood Khel. The delegation included journalists Inamullah Khan, Ramadan Sajid, Ahmad Khan, Rasheed Zargar, Hamidullah Shakur Khel, Muhammad Hayat, and Irfan Khan.
