Directs Officials to Improve Facilities, Maintenance and Cleanliness at Public Recreational and Sports Facilities

Deputy Commissioner Shahid Abbas Kathia visited Dreamland Park and the Mianwali Sports Gymnasium to inspect the facilities and review ongoing maintenance and improvement work.

During his visit to Dreamland Park, the Deputy Commissioner inspected various sections of the park and reviewed the cleanliness arrangements and recreational facilities. He directed the concerned contractor to ensure proper maintenance of all grassy lawns and plants, improve the overall landscaping and beautification of the park, and complete the repair and restoration of the swings.

Later, the Deputy Commissioner visited the Mianwali Sports Gymnasium, where he inspected the gymnasium and various other sections of the facility.

He directed the District Sports Officer (DSO) to ensure proper maintenance of the machinery and equipment available at the gym so that athletes and citizens visiting the facility for physical exercise could be provided with all necessary facilities.

He also directed officers of the Sports Department’s PMU to immediately complete the rehabilitation and repair work at the gymnasium according to the approved scope of work.

The Deputy Commissioner further directed that the football ground within the gymnasium premises be restored and that the surrounding plots be properly cleaned and developed into grassy lawns.

Additional Deputy Commissioner Municipal Services Majid Bin Ahmed, Assistant Commissioner Mianwali Faisal Imran, Deputy Director Development Shoaib Raza Khan, Suthra Punjab officials Syed Ghulam Murtaza and Ikram-ul-Haq Sial, and Engineer Malik Imran Saif were also present on the occasion.
