Zahid Bakhtawari Assures Formation of Working Group to Resolve Issues and Improve Cantonment Affairs in Consultation with Former Members

Rawalpindi (News Reporter): A delegation of former Cantonment Board members, led by former Vice President Malik Munir Ahmed, held an important meeting with Zahid Bakhtawari, Vice President Rawalpindi Cantonment Board.

The delegation included former Cantonment Board members Rashid Ahmed Khan, Malik Amjad Hussain, Chaudhry Abdul Shakoor, Malik Tahir Ayub, Arshad Mahmood, Haji Tariq Mahmood, and Malik Sagheer Ahmed.

The delegation apprised Zahid Bakhtawari of the issues and concerns faced by the public and business community, particularly regarding reservancy, water charges, and increases in various other charges.

Zahid Bakhtawari assured the delegation that a working group would be formed to address the issues and that Cantonment affairs would be improved through consultation with former members. He said that all legitimate issues would be taken up with the relevant forums on a priority basis.

He said, “The Cantonment belongs to everyone, and we must work together for its development and progress.” He added that solutions to the problems would be sought through mutual consultation, dialogue, and within the framework of the law.

Zahid Bakhtawari said that eliminating bribery and corruption is a collective responsibility. He urged citizens to directly contact the relevant authorities regarding their legitimate matters and assured that the timely and transparent completion of legitimate requests would be ensured, while bribery for unlawful activities would be discouraged.

On the occasion, the members of the delegation expressed their full confidence in Zahid Bakhtawari’s leadership and role, saying that his presence had raised hopes for the effective resolution of public and collective issues.

They also expressed their commitment to continuing their full cooperation in the development and progress of the Cantonment, resolution of public issues, and support for Zahid Bakhtawari’s positive initiatives.
