Three key office-bearers of the Pakistan Gakhar Federation take oath at a ceremony attended by tribal elders, military veterans, political figures and community leaders
ISLAMABAD (Special Correspondent): Former Member of the Provincial Assembly (MPA) and Parliamentary Secretary Raja Tariq Kayani of Gujar Khan hosted a grand dinner in honor of the office-bearers of the Pakistan Gakhar Federation and distinguished personalities of the Gakhar tribe at the Mini Golf Club, Bahria Town Phase 4, Islamabad.
The event was attended by a large number of prominent members of the Gakhar community, including Raja Mehtab Khan, General Masood-ur-Rehman Kayani, Raja Wajid-ur-Rehman, Colonel Afzal Kayani, Raja Mubeen Akhtar, Arshad Kayani, Idrees Kayani, Irfan Kayani, Amjad Kayani Advocate, Colonel Irfan Hameed Kayani, Dr. Salma Kayani, Sadaf Zafar, Mrs. Sabrina Javed, Dr. Abid Kayani, Imran Zahoor Kayani, Raja Tariq Mehboob Kayani, General Zaheer Kayani, Brigadier Ijaz Qamar, Zahid Rashid Kayani, Sultan Naeem Kayani, Sultan Fayyaz Kayani, Raja Shahid Zafar, Colonel Jahangir Kayani, Imran Kayani, President Jehlum Valley, Rizwan Shabbir Kayani, Yameen Kayani, Raja Changez Sultan, Mirza Liaqat Kayani, Zafar Iqbal Kayani, Safeer Kayani, Zahir Kayani, Khaliq Kayani, Shaukat Kayani and Mrs. Sobia Muqaddam, among others.
The central leadership of the Pakistan Gakhar Federation, including Chairman Raja Tariq Kamal Kayani, Chief Organizer Captain Faiz Akhtar Kayani, Secretary General Raja Tasleem Ahmed Kayani, Vice Chairmen Raja Khalid Mahmood Kayani, Raja Taj Kayani, Brigadier Asif Gul Kayani, Muhammad Munir, Raja Javed Hussain, former Joint Secretary Zubair Kamran Kayani, Central Coordinator Umar Afzal Kayani and Information Secretary Shahid Kayani, also participated in the event.
Before the dinner, an oath-taking ceremony was held in accordance with the federation’s new constitution. The proceedings began with the recitation of the Holy Quran by Vice Chairman Raja Khalid Mahmood Kayani. Chairman of the Pakistan Gakhar Federation, Colonel Tariq Kamal Kayani, administered the oath to the newly appointed office-bearers, including Vice Chairman Colonel Asif Iqbal Kayani, Additional Secretary Major Sajid Hussain Kayani and Deputy Secretary Zubair Kamran Kayani.
Following the oath-taking ceremony, the newly elected office-bearers introduced themselves to the audience and received congratulations from the distinguished participants.
Chief Organizer Captain Faiz Akhtar Kayani thanked all the guests on behalf of the Pakistan Gakhar Federation and highlighted the foundation, objectives and mission of the organization. Secretary General Raja Tasleem Ahmed Kayani introduced the donors and distinguished guests while acknowledging their valuable contributions and services.
In his presidential address, Chairman Colonel Tariq Kamal Kayani elaborated on the objectives of the Pakistan Gakhar Federation and presented proposals aimed at promoting the welfare and development of the Gakhar community. He also expressed his gratitude to all the participants for attending the event.
Dr. Salma Kayani congratulated the newly elected office-bearers and appreciated the efforts of the Pakistan Gakhar Federation. She noted that, as Patron of the Federation’s Women’s Wing, she had consistently supported and actively participated in the organization’s activities.
Mrs. Sobia Kayani (Muqaddam), Member of the Legislative Assembly (MLA) Gilgit-Baltistan, spoke about the rich historical legacy of the Gakhar tribe and emphasized the importance of unity, harmony and mutual cooperation. She reaffirmed her commitment to serving the Pakistan Gakhar Federation.
In his concluding remarks, the host of the event, former MPA and Parliamentary Secretary Raja Tariq Kayani, stressed the importance of children’s education and thanked all the guests for their participation. He also expressed appreciation for the Pakistan Gakhar Federation and its efforts to unite and serve the community.
The ceremony concluded with a dinner served in honor of the guests, who appreciated the hospitality of Raja Tariq Kayani and thanked both him and the Pakistan Gakhar Federation for organizing the successful event.
