A security guard was allegedly assaulted by rowdy youths for preventing damage to decorations in Halwai Street, with one suspect arrested and raids ongoing for others.
Gujar Khan (Sanobar Kiani) – An incident of attack and violence against a security guard occurred when he allegedly prevented some youths from damaging decorations related to Rabi-ul-Awwal in the market. The Central Traders Association took immediate notice and contacted the police.
According to sources, around 1 PM yesterday, some youths were allegedly vandalizing the decorations in the market. When the security guard stopped them, the suspects reportedly assaulted him and threatened to kill him.
In response to the incident, a delegation from the Central Traders Association, led by President Raja Muhammad Javad, General Secretary Shahid Hussain Butt, and Chairman Shahid Qureshi, held an emergency meeting with the SHO. The delegation included Additional General Secretary and Khokha Bazaar President Mirza Taimoor Waris, Halwai Street President Mujahid Khan, Vice Presidents Raja Sarfraz, Raja Khurram, and Shahzad Qureshi, Central Traders Association Media Advisor Mirza Shaiban, and traders Gul Muhammad, Chaudhry Khalid, Raja Kaleem, Raja Khurram, and others.
The trader leaders took a strong stance on the incident, demanding immediate and impartial action against the suspects who attacked the security guard. The SHO took immediate notice of the incident and registered a case, while one suspect was arrested at the scene. According to the police, raids are being conducted to arrest the other suspects.
