IG Islamabad Briefs Capital Patrol Unit, Reviews SWAT Force Operational Readiness

IG Islamabad Directs Officers to Maintain Discipline, Ensure Effective Patrolling, Prompt Response, Courteous Public Dealing, and Vigilance Against Suspicious Activities; Emphasizes Strengthening SWAT Force’s Operational Capabilities

Islamabad (Crime Reporter): Inspector General of Police (IGP) Islamabad, Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi, delivered a special briefing to officers of the Capital Patrol Unit at the Police Lines Headquarters. The session was attended by DIG Islamabad Muhammad Jawad Tariq, SSP Security Operations Salman Zafar, and other senior police officers.

The IG Islamabad instructed officers to maintain discipline while on duty, treat the public with courtesy, conduct effective patrolling, respond promptly to emergency calls, and remain vigilant against suspicious individuals and activities. He said that maintaining law and order in the federal capital, protecting the lives and property of citizens, ensuring the effective enforcement of the law, and preventing crime in a timely manner are the fundamental responsibilities of every police officer.

He further directed that the patrolling system be made more effective to strengthen crime prevention efforts and provide a safer environment for the public.

The IG stated that modern policing, timely response, and a public-friendly approach remain the top priorities of Islamabad Police. He added that every officer must perform his duties with professionalism, integrity, and responsibility to maintain public confidence in the police force.

Additionally, IG Islamabad Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi, accompanied by SSP SWAT Force Major Kaleem Ullah Khattak, conducted a detailed review of the SWAT Force’s operational capabilities, professional preparedness, training standards, and measures adopted in line with modern operational requirements.

He directed that the force be further equipped with modern facilities, its operational capabilities be enhanced, and its ability to respond swiftly and effectively to any emergency situation be further strengthened. Reaffirming his commitment, the IG stated that Islamabad Police remains fully prepared at all times to meet every challenge and ensure the protection of the lives and property of citizens.
