Directions Issued to Ensure Timely Justice for Citizens and Further Improve the Quality of Investigations
ISLAMABAD (Crime Reporter): Inspector General of Police Islamabad Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi reviewed various matters related to further improvement in departmental affairs and the investigation system, progress in cases under investigation, timely resolution of cases, and overall performance.
According to details, Inspector General of Police Islamabad Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi chaired an important meeting with DIG Headquarters Muhammad Atiq Tahir and SSP Investigation Muhammad Usman Tariq Butt. The meeting reviewed in detail various matters relating to departmental affairs, further improvement of the investigation system, progress in cases under investigation, timely resolution of cases, and overall performance.
The IG Islamabad directed officers to make the investigation process more effective, transparent, and professional so that the timely and impartial provision of justice to citizens could be ensured. He emphasized that pending cases should be resolved at the earliest on merit and that the investigation of every case should be completed in accordance with modern requirements.
Furthermore, IG Islamabad Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi also held an important meeting with DIG Islamabad Muhammad Jawad Tariq, AIG Legal Tahir Kazim, and SP Complaints/Saddar Zone Khalid Mahmood Awan. The meeting reviewed important matters related to the legal affairs of Islamabad Police, the effective and timely redressal of citizens’ complaints, further improvement in the standard of public service, transparency, accountability, and professional policing.
The IG Islamabad directed the relevant officers to resolve citizens’ complaints on a priority basis and adopt a courteous and responsible attitude towards the public. He also directed that all available resources be utilized to further improve the standard of policing.
Later, IG Islamabad Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi, accompanied by DIG Islamabad Muhammad Jawad Tariq, also met with Tayyab Nawaz Malik, Chairman of the Islamabad Police Alternative Dispute Resolution Committee (ADRC).
During the meeting, detailed discussions were held on the timely, fair, and peaceful resolution of mutual disputes among citizens, further improving the effectiveness of the reconciliation system, and providing better services to the public.
On the occasion, IG Islamabad Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi said that an effective Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADRC) system not only helps provide citizens with quick and accessible justice but also plays an important role in promoting mutual harmony, trust, tolerance, and lasting peace in society.
He expressed his commitment that Islamabad Police would continue its efforts more effectively to ensure high standards of public service, transparency, timely provision of justice, and professional policing.
