Rawalpindi (Syed Shahid Waheed Hashmi): A man was seriously injured in a tragic traffic accident on Girja Road after being struck and run over by a tractor-trolley, resulting in the loss of one of his legs.

The injured man was immediately shifted to a nearby hospital for medical treatment, where he is currently receiving care.

Following the incident, local residents expressed deep anger and demanded immediate and effective action against unregistered and illegally operated tractor-trolleys. Residents stated that tractor-trolleys operating on public roads without registration, fitness certification, and essential safety measures have become a serious threat to the lives and property of citizens.

The citizens urged the government, district administration, and relevant authorities to ensure the registration of tractor-trolleys, verification of drivers’ licenses, and strict enforcement of traffic laws to prevent such tragic accidents in the future. They also demanded legal action against those responsible for the accident and more effective monitoring and enforcement of traffic regulations.
