Murree Police Arrest One Accused Nominated in Rape Case

Murree (Raja Usman Ali) – Murree Police have arrested one accused nominated in a rape case during a recent operation.

According to details, FIR No. 351/26 under Section 376-II of the Pakistan Penal Code was registered at Murree Police Station. Police stated that the nominated accused, Muhammad Riaz, along with an accomplice, is alleged to have lured a woman from Bahawalpur District to Murree and allegedly subjected her to sexual assault.

Upon receiving information about the incident, Murree Police immediately registered a case and initiated an investigation. During the operation, police arrested the nominated accused, Muhammad Riaz, while raids are being conducted to apprehend the second suspect.

According to police officials, the arrest was carried out under the supervision of SHO Murree Police Station Muhammad Owais Akram, with TSI Bilal Zakir and his team leading the operation.

Police stated that indiscriminate action against individuals involved in such serious crimes will continue in order to ensure the protection of vulnerable segments of society, particularly women and children.
