Murree (Raja Usman Ali)
On the instructions of DPO Murree Raza Tanveer Sapra, operations against criminal elements are continuing. During the investigation of FIR No. 490/25 registered at Murree Police Station, In-charge Ghora Gali Police Post Muhammad Nafees Sarwar and his team conducted a successful operation and arrested two members of a gang involved in robbing unsuspecting citizens.
According to the police, the arrested suspects were identified as Ata Muhammad and Wali Muhammad, residents of Pir Wadhai, Rawalpindi. Cash amounting to Rs. 100,000, believed to be stolen property, was also recovered from their possession.
Preliminary investigations revealed that the suspects used to target citizens at mosques and other public places by throwing a paint-like substance on their clothes. Under the pretext of helping clean the stains, they would distract the victims and take the opportunity to pick their pockets and steal cash.
Murree Police traced and arrested the suspects through human intelligence and modern technical resources. Raids are currently being conducted to apprehend other members of the gang.
DPO Murree Raza Tanveer Sapra stated that those who rob citizens and deprive them of their hard-earned money deserve no leniency. He added that effective measures are being taken to protect the lives and property of citizens, and strict action will continue against all lawbreakers without discrimination.
