Pakistan and Bulgaria Agree to Enhance Parliamentary and Bilateral Cooperation

Zeba Jaffer Meets Bulgarian Delegation, Emphasizes Promotion of Trade, Education, Technology and Parliamentary Relations

Islamabad (Izhar Khan Niazi) — Convener of the Pakistan-Bulgaria Parliamentary Friendship Group and Member of the National Assembly Zeba Jaffer held a meeting with a delegation led by Petko Doikov, Director General at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Bulgaria, at the Parliament House.

During the meeting, both sides agreed to further enhance parliamentary, trade, educational, and public-level relations between Pakistan and Bulgaria.

Zeba Jaffer stated that the friendly relations between the two countries, spanning over six decades, can be further strengthened through parliamentary diplomacy, trade, education, agriculture, climate change cooperation, and youth exchanges.

She also expressed hope for the early establishment of a Pakistan-Bulgaria Parliamentary Friendship Group in Bulgaria.

Head of the Bulgarian delegation Petko Doikov expressed commitment to further strengthening relations with Pakistan and emphasized increasing cooperation in trade, information technology, artificial intelligence, and exchanges of parliamentary delegations.

Both sides reaffirmed their commitment to further expanding bilateral relations and exploring new areas of cooperation.
