People from Across Pakistan Joining Party as Established Political Parties Failed to Resolve Genuine Public Issues: Khakan Waheed Khawaja
ISLAMABAD (Special Reporter): Chairman of the Pakistan Awami Quwwat Party and Chairman of Rawal General & Dental Hospital and Rawal Foundation, Khakan Waheed Khawaja, has said that his party believes in action rather than promises and that people from across Pakistan are joining the party.
He said this while addressing a meeting of party office-bearers, local leaders and workers at his office and on the occasion of the joining of social figure Dr. Malik Yaseen from Attock.
He said that the growing number of people joining the party was evidence that the political parties that had ruled the country for many years had failed to resolve the genuine problems of the people in the true sense.
On the occasion, prominent lawyer Usama Hussain Joiya from Mianwali, Chaudhry Zafar from Pand Begwal, renowned international cricketer Masood Anwar and a group of journalists from the Financial Times, including Dr. Majeed Naseem Hassan, also met with him.
A delegation of residents of UC-62 Khanna Dak also met the chairman and discussed the issue of water supply, upon which he assured them that the problem would be resolved.
Speaking to the various delegations, Pakistan Awami Quwwat Party Chairman Khakan Waheed Khawaja said that resolving public-level issues was the party’s manifesto.
He said that the people joining the party from Attock, Mianwali and other districts were a valuable asset. He added that the party would introduce a policy to further strengthen its basic organizational structure in different parts of Pakistan.
“Under this policy, power will be transferred to the common people, their problems will be heard and work will be carried out for the future generations. This work will be done by the Pakistan Awami Quwwat Party,” he said.
On the occasion, Dr. Malik Yaseen, a political leader from Attock who joined the party, said that he had decided to join the Pakistan Awami Quwwat Party after observing its role, work and the fulfillment of the promises made to the people in its manifesto despite not being in power.
He said that he was satisfied with the narrative of the chairman of the Pakistan Awami Quwwat Party and would further strengthen his political career through the party.
Prominent lawyer Usama Hussain Joiya from Mianwali said that they would strengthen the roots of the Pakistan Awami Quwwat Party in Mianwali.
He said that educated people were joining the party in large numbers, which was proof that the people genuinely wanted change at the grassroots level.
