Pakistan can be put on the path of development by following the golden principles of Quaid-e-Azam, said Ambassador Saqlain Syeda.
Berlin (Special Correspondent) – A grand ceremony to celebrate Pakistan’s Independence Day was held at the Pakistan House in Berlin under the auspices of the Pakistani Embassy, showcasing national enthusiasm and a remarkable expression of patriotism. The event was attended by a large number of Pakistani expatriates, German officials, diplomats, and friends of Pakistan.
The ceremony began with the recitation of the Holy Quran, followed by the waving of the national flag by Pakistan’s Ambassador to Germany, Ms. Saqlain Syeda, to the tune of the national anthem. The German national anthem was also played on this occasion. During the event, messages from the President of Pakistan, the Prime Minister of Pakistan, and the Deputy Prime Minister of Pakistan were read to the attendees.
In her speech, Ambassador Saqlain Syeda extended heartfelt congratulations to the Pakistani community, German dignitaries, and friends of Pakistan on Independence Day. She highlighted the significance and sanctity of Independence, stating that freedom is a sacred trust achieved through the ideology, struggle, and unparalleled sacrifices of our ancestors under the leadership of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah and Allama Muhammad Iqbal.
The Ambassador emphasized that our elders made timeless sacrifices for the attainment of freedom, and it is the responsibility of the new generation to play their part in the development, prosperity, and stability of Pakistan while strengthening the ideological and national foundations of the country.
She mentioned Pakistan’s recent achievements and future prospects, stating that the country is moving towards economic stability, while its capabilities in green energy, climate justice, IT, and technology are significantly increasing. She particularly referred to the youth as the country’s valuable asset, asserting that by harnessing the potential of the younger generation, Pakistan can achieve new heights of development.
Ambassador Saqlain Syeda noted that this year’s Independence Day celebrations hold special historical significance as Pakistan also commemorates the 150th birth anniversary of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah. She stated that by incorporating the golden principles of unity, faith, and discipline into national life, Pakistan can further advance on the path of development, stability, and prosperity.
An important and special part of the event was the recognition of Dr. Senta Maria Anna Siller for her outstanding services in humanitarian work, empowering rural women, and community development in Pakistan. Her contributions to Pakistan were praised, and she was honored for her efforts.
In the concluding phase of the event, an Independence Day cake was cut, and a Pakistani artist performed live music. Participants enjoyed the Pakistani music, and traditional Pakistani refreshments were served at the end of the ceremony.
This Independence Day celebration at the Pakistan House in Berlin not only highlighted the national spirit of the Pakistani community but also underscored the friendly relations, public connections, and mutual respect between Pakistan and Germany.
