Rawalpindi (General Reporter) A delegation led by Abrar Ahmad Khan, President of the All Pakistan Private Schools Management Association (APPSMA) for Northern Punjab, met with Deputy Commissioner Rawalpindi Nadeem Nasir at his office. The delegation included Northern Punjab Vice President Colonel R. Fawad Hanif, Colonel R. Tauseef Ahmad, and Shahid Hassan.

Abrar Ahmad Khan congratulated Deputy Commissioner Nadeem Nasir on assuming his new responsibilities and expressed his best wishes. During the meeting, he discussed the current situation of educational institutions in Rawalpindi, stating that federally governed educational institutions have been conducting educational activities since August 3, while private educational institutions in Punjab are closed due to summer vacations. He particularly highlighted the loss of valuable educational time for students in grades nine and ten, demanding that these students be allowed to hold classes under limited and appropriate SOPs to avoid disruption in exam preparations.

Deputy Commissioner Nadeem Nasir informed the delegation that educational institutions operating under the Federal Directorate are not limited to Rawalpindi but are established across the country, functioning under federal government policies. However, he assured them that he would discuss the matter with the relevant authorities to find a feasible solution.

During the meeting, detailed discussions were also held regarding the celebrations for August 14, Independence Day. Abrar Ahmad Khan informed the Deputy Commissioner about the difficulties faced in organizing Independence Day events in private educational institutions. In response, Deputy Commissioner Nadeem Nasir clarified that no one can prevent private educational institutions from celebrating the events of August 14. He encouraged educational institutions to hold programs related to Independence Day and to educate students about the importance of freedom, the struggle for the establishment of Pakistan, and the value of their homeland.

Deputy Commissioner Nadeem Nasir expressed his willingness to address this request and assured that the legitimate issues of private educational institutions would be prioritized and every possible cooperation would be provided for their resolution at relevant forums.

APPSMA Northern Punjab thanked Deputy Commissioner Rawalpindi for his positive attitude and for listening to the issues of the private educational sector.
