French Lawmaker Carlos Martinez Bellongo Supports Pakistan’s Position on Kashmir, Expresses Desire to Visit Pakistan with Parliamentary Delegation

Federal Minister and Chairman of the Parliamentary Committee on Kashmir Rana Muhammad Qasim Noon visited the French National Assembly on the invitation of French Parliament member Carlos Martinez Bellongo, where both leaders held detailed discussions on matters of mutual interest, bilateral relations, and the promotion of parliamentary cooperation between Pakistan and France.
Protocol Officer Ibrahim Chandio was also present during the meeting.
The discussions covered parliamentary relations between Pakistan and France, trade, investment, cooperation in various sectors, and regional and international issues. The current situation in Jammu and Kashmir was also discussed in detail.
Carlos Martinez Bellongo expressed support for Pakistan’s position on the Kashmir issue and stated that the dispute should be resolved peacefully in accordance with international laws and the aspirations of the Kashmiri people.
He also expressed his desire to visit Pakistan in the near future along with a parliamentary delegation, saying that such a visit would further strengthen parliamentary ties between the two countries and create new opportunities for cooperation.
The French parliamentarian showed keen interest in Pakistan’s information technology and telecommunications sectors and assured that he would play his role in promoting cooperation, investment, and partnerships in these fields.
Rana Muhammad Qasim Noon thanked the French parliamentarian for his positive sentiments and support regarding Pakistan’s stance on Kashmir. He said that expanding parliamentary relations, economic cooperation, and people-to-people contacts between Pakistan and France is in the interest of both countries.
He also invited Carlos Martinez Bellongo and his parliamentary delegation to visit Pakistan.
At the conclusion of the meeting, Rana Muhammad Qasim Noon presented Carlos Martinez Bellongo with a commemorative shield and a traditional Kashmiri scarf as a symbol of friendship and goodwill. The French lawmaker warmly accepted the gifts and appreciated their symbolic importance.
The meeting concluded in a cordial atmosphere, with both leaders expressing confidence that continued parliamentary engagement and mutual cooperation would play an important role in further strengthening the longstanding friendly relations between Pakistan and France and expanding collaboration in various fields.
