Rawalpindi: (Syed Shahid Waheed Hashmi) In anticipation of monsoon rains, Rescue 1122 Rawalpindi has been placed on high alert. Rescue personnel have been deployed to Nullah Lai and various low-lying areas of the city to handle any potential emergencies. According to Media Coordinator of Rescue 1122 Rawalpindi, Muhammad Usman Gujjar, rescue teams will remain present in Katarian, Gwalmandi, and other low-lying areas during the rains to carry out immediate rescue operations in case of any unfortunate incidents or difficulties faced by citizens. Muhammad Usman Gujjar has urged citizens to exercise special caution during the monsoon rains and not to delay moving to safer locations due to the risk of urban flooding. He emphasized that parents should prevent their children from approaching Nullah Lai, seasonal streams, and electric poles during the rains. Citizens are advised to avoid unnecessary travel during the rain and to drive cautiously by reducing speed. Rescue officials have stated that in case of any emergency, citizens should immediately contact Rescue 1122.
