Calls on the government to ease the tax burden and introduce business-friendly policies to support the automobile trade
Islamabad (News Reporter): President of the G-8 Markaz and Islamabad Motor Cars Dealers Association, Ajab Khan, has called on the government to reduce vehicle transfer fees and eliminate unnecessary taxes, stating that the repeated imposition of advance tax and Capital Value Tax (CVT) on the sale and purchase of vehicles has created significant challenges for stakeholders in the automobile business.
He said the government should strike a balance in the tax burden to ensure that vehicle sales and purchases are not adversely affected. According to Ajab Khan, a balanced taxation system is essential for increasing business activity, encouraging investment, and ensuring sustainable growth in government revenues.
He further urged the federal and provincial governments to consult representatives of the automobile sector while formulating policies so that business-friendly measures can be introduced. Such policies, he said, should focus on reducing vehicle transfer fees and unnecessary taxes while providing relief to the public.
Ajab Khan reaffirmed that the private sector would continue to work closely with the government to support the growth of Pakistan’s automobile industry and contribute positively to strengthening the national economy.
