Regional Police Officer (RPO) Sargodha Region, Muhammad Shahzad Asif Khan, visited Mianwali, where he held an open court (Khuli Kachehri) and conducted a meeting with police officers. Accompanied by DPO Mianwali Waqar Azim Kharral and SP Investigation Mianwali Mehr Muhammad Riaz Naz, the RPO organized the open court at the Complaint Cell of the DPO Office Mianwali.

Citizens participated in the open court and presented their issues, complaints, and suggestions directly before the RPO. RPO Sargodha listened attentively to the complaints of the citizens and, on the spot, issued instructions to the relevant circle officers to take immediate action on merit.

During the open court, the RPO directed police officers and personnel to treat complainants with courtesy and respect. He instructed that citizens visiting police offices and police stations should be treated with dignity and that their issues should be resolved promptly within the legal framework. He stated that the purpose of holding open courts is to reduce the gap between the public and the police and to strengthen mutual trust.

Later, RPO Sargodha Muhammad Shahzad Asif Khan, along with DPO Mianwali Waqar Azim Kharral, held a crime meeting with police officers at Bahram Hall, District Police Lines Mianwali. DPO Mianwali Waqar Azim Kharral briefed the participants on the overall crime situation in the district.

The crime meeting was attended by SP Investigation Mianwali Muhammad Riaz Naz, all SDPOs of the district’s circles, the DSP Legal, DTO Traffic, DSP Safe City Mianwali, and other police officers.

During the meeting, a detailed review of the overall crime situation across all circles and police stations of the district was conducted, and effective strategies to reduce crime were discussed. The RPO Sargodha directed all police officers to accelerate indiscriminate operations against proclaimed offenders, drug dealers, and criminal elements.

He said that the protection of the lives and property of the public is the foremost responsibility of the police. Therefore, all officers should further improve their performance while ensuring merit and the rule of law. He emphasized that any kind of negligence or dereliction of duty would not be tolerated under any circumstances.
