DAUDKHEL (Zia Niazi): The city’s dysfunctional sewage system has created serious problems for residents, with several streets turning into virtual ponds due to stagnant sewage water.
The road leading from Mohalla Samal Khel Primary School Daudkhel to Daudkhel Police Station has been blocked by dirty sewage water near the primary school in Mohalla Samal Khel. The accumulated wastewater has turned the road into a pond, causing severe difficulties for local residents and commuters.
Due to the stagnant sewage water on the road, it has become almost impossible for patients, elderly people, children, and women to pass through the area. The foul smell and unhygienic conditions have also raised concerns about the spread of various diseases and a possible outbreak of epidemics in the locality.
Residents said that the situation is worsening day by day due to the lack of a permanent drainage system for sewage water. They have urged the Administrator of the Municipal Committee to take immediate notice of the situation, drain the sewage water, and restore the road for public use.
Public representatives and local residents have demanded an immediate and permanent solution to the problem so that citizens can be relieved of the ongoing difficulties.
