Tarbela Dam Project Celebrates 79th Independence Day with Special Prayers

A grand ceremony was held at the Tarbela Dam Project to mark the 79th Independence Day, where the General Manager and staff offered special prayers for the country’s security and prosperity. Like the rest of the country, the 79th Independence Day was celebrated at the Tarbela Dam Project with national enthusiasm and devotion. During the main event, the General Manager and Project Director of Tarbela Dam, Mr. Anwar Shah, hoisted the national flag. On this occasion, a well-drilled contingent of the WAPDA Security Force presented a salute to the national flag, while the national anthem resonated in the air. In his address, the General Manager of the Tarbela Dam Project congratulated all officers and employees on Independence Day and paid tribute to the founder of Pakistan, Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah, and all martyrs of the Pakistan Movement. He reaffirmed the commitment that the Tarbela Dam will continue to serve the nation by fulfilling the economic development, energy, and irrigation needs of Pakistan. The ceremony was attended by Advisor T4, T5 Muhammad Azam Joia, Chief Engineer (Civil) Syed Ali Haider, and other officers and employees. At the end of the event, a cake was cut to celebrate Independence Day, and a collective prayer was offered for peace, prosperity, and stability across the country.
